From Santa Monica to Harris Ranch
On Friday we flew back to Palo Alto with a lunch stop at Harris Ranch. Harris Ranch, or the Harris Cattle Ranch, is a large beef producer and ranch, and a popular halfway stop on the busy highway connecting San Francisco and Los Angeles. The Harris Ranch Airport is next to Interstate 5, next to the Harris Ranch Restaurant and Inn. Parking and fuel are on the north end of the runway near the restaurant.

When we were going to depart from Harris Ranch, the old battery had not sufficient power to start the engine. A pilot who was there with his car helped us jump-start the plane. Then we left for our final leg to Palo Alto.
