Paderborn, Erfurt and Cochstedt

The afternoon of Wednesday, 11 March 2015 was nice flying weather. I just made a little round trip from Paderborn-Lippstadt to Erfurt-Weimar and Magdeburg-Cochstedt in the Cessna Turbo Skylane D-ELXC to brush away some rust. On the leg from Cochstedt to Paderborn, I passed the Brocken, with 1142m the highest peak of the Harz Mountains. According to local legend, witches gather on April 30 every year on top of the Brocken. The Harz Mountains is the land of German fairy tales.
