From Lelystad to Texel
During the past weeks the weather had been not that good. The previous weekend René had made a short round trip from Lelystad to Teuge as the first flights of the year, but then there were low clouds and some rain. This Sunday the weather was excellent, and we decided to make a little trip. We first called Texel airport to ask if we could land there. The field had suffered from the wet weather over the last weeks, but with a light aircraft without breaking after landing, we were welcome. We booked the Piper G-WARA at Lelystad, and then we drove to the airport. The route from Lelystad to Texel was direct. After landing we first went up to pay the fees, and then to the restaurant for a green pea soup.

From Texel to Lelystad
After take-off from runway 04 of Texel, we flew to the north east, first passing the island Vlieland, in the direction of the island Terschelling. There we overflew the little town of West-Terschelling, with its lighthouse Brandaris, before crossing the Waddensee in the direction of Harlingen. From there we flew further to Lelystad airport, where we landed on runway 05.
