Pinkpop? Time for flying
The whole family went to the Pinkpop Festival in the south-east of Holland for three days, from Friday June 10 until Sunday June 12, 2016. Initially I had planned to make a three day flying trip somewhere, but the weather forecast was not that good, in particular for Sunday when I should return. I changed plans, and on Friday I made a little round trip from Lelystad to Stadtlohn, just across the border with Germany. It was the first time I flew this particular Piper Warrior III with registration G-OBFS, bringing the total number of airplanes that I flew to 70.

On Saturday I used the same airplane to make a trip to Texel. I flew clockwise around the Schiphol CTR to the coast, and then followed the coast to Texel, and made a straight-in landing on runway 04.

It was the first time the G-OBFS visited Texel, and Mike had asked me to park the airplane in front of the tower, so he could make a picture of the airplane for the Texel Airport website.
After a drink at the airport restaurant I flew straight across the IJsselmeer lake back to Lelystad. I flew north of the airport to entry point Bravo, and then to the circuit for landing runway 05.
